Poured a very assertive cloudy orange-yellow hue with a pretty white head. Aromas are pretty good, largely banana and clove. Taste is similar, wheaty bready character leading into big banana and clove estery goodness. Finishes a touch bitter, but then smooths out. Just the right light bodied feel, with a touch more to the body. Refreshing but flavorful. Yum. I love me a good in-house Hefe with assertive banana fruitiness. This is no exception. Cheers! basewars (145), Albany, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 1, 2008 On draught in Orland Park over the weekend. Poured cloudy with minimal head for a weiss. Aroma of banana. Subdued flavor of banana and smoke. I didn’t think much of this one. gws57 (1152), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Nov 21, 2007 Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Orland Park as part of a sampler flight. Decent. Poured a cloudy, medium yellow, served with a lemon. A little astringent at first, but plenty of banana, clove and corriander in this one. Finishes strong and sweet. A typical hefe, in the good sense. JLAudio (282), Crestwood, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 22, 2007 On Tap: The autumn version of their wheat beer...Bavarian Hefe Weiss. Pours a light yellow color with rediculous thickness on the head. Great lacing on this cloudy beer. Had immense aromas but even more immense flavors. It was a thicker more full-bodied hefeweizen, with emphasis on the banana and clove. I’m so glad this was unfiltered, it really kept it up there with the best hefeweizens out there. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 20, 2007 In my mug club mug (I don’t think RB has hefeweizen glasses) this has a cloudy, bright yellow body with a small creamy head. The aroma is rife with banana and clove and a good sprtizing of lemon. The lemon gets a bit strong in the flavor, but overall this is a good refreshing drink.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 16, 2007 Very traditional hefe...banana and clove to the max...and pretty refreshing all the way around. This one was selling briskly on the Sunday afternoon visit I made, especially among the women I observed. Big cloudy golden pour, ans big long-lasting head. The aroma was all banana and clove. The flavors were banana, clove, cut grass, and vanilla. Pretty well recieved by my fellow bar patrons.
