3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Rock Bottom with Mitch before the movie The Counselor. Pretty much what youíd expect from a Pittsburgh brewpub. Low on body and flavor and probably overpriced.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy light orange with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, anise star, clove, bready malt. Flavor is sweet citrus and bready up front with some spices in the finish. Smooth palate, very easy drinking. Good Belgian wit.

Light spicy aroma with coriander and orange peel. Bit of pepper and some bubblegum. Yeasty. Hazy, almost cloudy medium golden amber with thin foamy lacing head. Medium watery body with medium high carbonation. Starts medium sweet with nice spice, bubblegum and coriander. Light sulfur. Light bitterness. Medium wheat finish with some orange peel. Decent witbier.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2011 One of the new core beers for Rock Bottom. Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a very cloudy yellow color with a large creamy white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was egg white, a touch of must and very faint coriander. The flavor was yeasty and musty with notes of egg white and coriander. The finish was short, musty, yeasty and a bit sulfuric. Medium body. Not good.
