Flavorful and complex, our Red Ale is copper in color and medium-bodied with a rich malt profile. Crystal hops lend a robust, fruity hop character for balance.

One of the better beers in the flight and that is not saying much. This one has a better balance of hopps and malt. You can taste the crystal hopps in this one. Smells malty and pours light red with a reddish head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap, Seattle. Pours a clear dark copper to reddish body with a small foamy off-white head. Very light nose, some Cheerio-like cereal grain with some husky and grainy notes. The flavor is pretty bland and boring with some light husky toasted malt, minimal to no hops, save for a bit on the late finish. Light bodied with watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Some lingering grainy maltiness. Pretty boring stuff.

This poured a red color with a white head. Aroma was of toasted malt and grassy hops. Flavor similar, nothing outstanding but nothing offputting either.

Tap @ Rock Bottom Yorktown. Light amber with small head. Medium malt. A lot of crystal malt. Doesn’t do much for me.

On tap at the Richmond Short Pump location. Perfectly acceptable amber. Medium amber, slight head, clear. Aroma of caramel malts and slight citric hops. Flavor matched, but perhaps with more hops than expected, a good thing. Not bad, just boring.
