COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Flavorful and complex, our Red Ale is copper in color and medium-bodied with a rich malt profile. Crystal hops lend a robust, fruity hop character for balance.

Pours a clear amber/golden color with a thin off white head. Aroma has light toasted malts. Flavor follows suit with toasty malts...toffee, caramel, wheaty notes with a touch of earthy/spicy hops. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is earthy/spicy and bitter/dry.

On tap 4 oz. sampler at Rock Bottom's Bethesda brewpub. The beer menu lists this at 5.6% ABV and 38 IBUs. Crystal clear red-amber with an eggshell white head and good lacing. Very, very mild aroma of citrus, herbs and caramel. Taste of caramel, citrus, bread and fruit. Bitter and mildly sweet. Medium/light body and medium/light carbonation. Mighty thin for the style and very light on the aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampler@RB Campbell, 31/08/12. Slim-lidded bronze. Brown toast and marzipan aroma; red apple hints. Could almost be Abbot; cherry boiled sweet and chocolate streaks, orange wine gum. Good dull generic red/brown brew.
