Jun 26, 2006 On tap at the San Diego brewpub. Pours brown with a weak white head. Flavor is very sweet. Not toasted at all. A flat boring beer that does not seem true to the style.

May 12, 2004 Updated: May 16, 2004(Draft: Rock Bottom in San Diego, CA) Dry, dark and flavorful in the Negra Modelo tradition; Moderately malty and mildly sweet with a tasty, carmel flavor and a mildly smokiness; Steady and balanced initally, but with a fairly bitter bite in the finish; Not much aroma; Medium brown in color; Off white head has pretty good retention, fading after a few minutes, and leaves a moderatel amount of sporadic lacing
