Draft at the San Diego brewpub. Clean raspberry aroma. Brownish amber color with a white head that filmed. Medium body; light carbonation. Starts with raspberry, develops a bit of sour, brings up some dark caramel malt. Finishes rather dry, and has left over raspberry and arguably light hop bitter. Good, but one should last for quite awhile.

Draft. Reddish amber color with a small white head that left some lacing. Sweet fruity aroma with a hint of hops. Raspberry and wheat evident with the light malts, tart finish. Medium body and a tingly carbonation.

(Draft: Rock Bottom in San Diego, CA) As expected, this beer is somewhat dominated by a mildly sweet raspberry flavor, but with a bit of tartness as a welcomed offset; However, this beer is also mildly toasty, which makes this entry for this usually boring style quite a bit more interesting than many of it’s counterparts; The nose is toasty malt, sweet, but very strong raspberry aroma too, and it’s enjoyable and inviting; Fairly clean on the palate, with light to medium body; Light amber color and somewhat cloudy; Off-white head gradually fades to a thin layer, leaving a nice dense layer of lacing behind
