Mar 27, 2008 Very thin and weak. Color doesn’t match the flavour palate. Smoke is about all that you can taste here, very thin for a stout.

Nov 17, 2007 draught sampler at rock bottom sd.. bellowing blackish color with little fluff.. coffee filled hops give a pleasant boost to the taste and back away easily as the sip progresses.. gentle and smooth the taste is very appealing and there is no filmy aftertaste.. good solid stout

looks very black with a thin tan head.
weak on smell, roasted nuts,
taste of coffee and chocolate not that strong and a little watery, thinner than it looks, a little bitterness in the end and more watery as you drink.
not what i was expecting, a good beer, but not as stout as i would like.

Jul 26, 2007 Draft at the San Diego brewpub. Nitrokeg. The chalk board put the alcohol at 5.25. Aroma of darkly toasted malt. Opaque brown/black color with a creamy beige/tan head. Flavor of dark, toasted, near burnt malts. Coffee bitter; chocolate notes. There is definite hop bitter, but it is too mixed with the coffee and toast for me to define it. Nice smooth finish, leaving that light burnt aspect. Really quite excellent.
