Commercial Description:
This deep ruby red color comes from both German and British malts. It is generously spiced with local hops to have lingering bitterness and a romantic hop bouquet in the Northwest tradition.

Very little malt aroma. This might be better than the pale ale. Some caramel that grows. Flavor is solid and tasty for an amber.

Draft at Rock Bottom, Seattle. Bright reddish amber with a lacy off-white head. Pine and herbal hop aroma with with touch of malt behind it. Light body with medium carbonation. The taste is just lightly sweet with some toffee and a dry piney finish. Not so much over hopped as under malted.

On tapt at RB. Color was reddish orange. Not much aroma, a little bit of bread and fruit. Flavor was pretty bland, but not outright bad. Red malt, fruit and bread. Not a great beer.

On tap at Rock Bottom Seattle location. Pours out a amber topped with a sand head. Aroma of light malts and some floral hops. Taste was more of the malt along with some light nuts.

Tap at Festival 04. They must have improved it since the others rated it. Nothing wonderful, but an easy drinking session beer

Interesting amber, I would have thought this to be more of an APA, upon first taste. Overly hopped, with a less than weak maltiness.
