On tap at the Downtown Denver location. Labeled simply as "Red Ale". Pours with a clear orange body with a small tan head. Aromas are malty and bready with caramel and light esters. Flavors are bready, malty, toasty, caramel, and a bit of a fruity estery note. Tastes a touch stale. Lighter bodied, thin and a bit uninspiring.

Had this as the house red at the downtown Denver location. Amber-red colour. Nice earthy hops - was dry-hopped with Galaxy (I don’t know this hop) and I don’t really get anything unusual. But a nice beer, with good balance of amber/red malt character and earthy hops.

Clear dark amber color. Nose is loaded with pale and crystal malt. Taste comes out of nowhere with a bit of cherries on the start, a finish ligering with molasses, and a malty toffee middle. Medioum body makes it very drinkable. Not bad, but not stellar.

On tap at the Denver airport. Deep reddish amber pour with a small off-white head on top of it. Malty caramel aroma, very bready with a little toast and earth. Malty English style flavor, lots of caramel and toffee, with subtle earthy Noble hops and a slight plastic note. Clean on the palate with medium body and low carbonation. Not great overall, probably below average.

Tap at Denver International Airport, on the way home after GABF ’09. Pours a classic mahogany with amber highlights and an earthy, vegetable malt, sweet hops, and celery. Flavor is celery malt and cherry-roasted nuts. Average, semi-thick and lingering on the tongue. Too earthy and too veggie-ish.
