3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I had this stout at the Bethesda location. Maybe it was just the batch I drank from but this stout was smooth and surely did not have a kick to it. It was the least bitter stout I have ever had. Iíll have to try this brew out at another location.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Reviewed from notes. On tap at the Rock Bottom in Bethesda, MD.
Pours black with a bit of a mocha head. Maybe two fingers, although that recedes fairly quickly into nothing much. Hints of lacing. The nose is mostly roasted malt with some vague notions of light hops as well as some coffee. Taste is fairly light in flavor with some roasted malt. Decent body with good carbonation. A nice lighter flavor without much standing out.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at the Campbell location @4.4%abv. Served on nitro, but why wouldnít it be, right? Black with a lasting tan head. Fresh roasted barley, toasted bread, and milky chocolate aroma. The flavor is pretty balanced and smooth with a gentle bitterness but not much sweetness either. Roasted malt flavors of lightly burnt toast. Bready and a touch ashy. Light bodied but with a creamy texture that stands up to the roast. Solid stout and very drinkable.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Location: I venture into the Rock Bottom Bethesda every now and again because it is so close, this is one of their standard offerings, and Iíve had it a few times on tap
Probably one of the more boring Stouts out there, itís thin and boring, not terrible, just dull.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From draught sample at Bethesda. Light chocolate and roasted malt, a bit of coffee and some lactose character. Dry stout tang. Dark brown-black clear with thin tan head. Medium body with smooth nitro carbonation. Starts dry with light roasted malt, a bit of chocolate, and some licorice. Carbonic acidity and a light hop bitter finish. Fairly smooth after with nutty character.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On nitrogen tap in Bethesda. Sold beer, dark with a chocolaty head. Solid aroma of lightly roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is smooth and moderately sweet, some tones of chocolate, a bit of roastedness. Finishes with a touch of bitterness. The nitrogen suits it well, a smooth, solid beer. Nothing remarkable but very drinkable. Its somewhat boring, but still good.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
From the nitro tap at RB Milwaukee, in a plastic shaker (for shame). Looks like a stout should, smells tasty, and tastes very good. This is a stronger stout than a dry Irish stout -- almost an Impy; itís a coffeer (is that a word?) stout than most coffee stouts Iíve had. Only got better with warmth and age.
