on tap at RB Warrenville. pours dark brown with creamy tan head. nose is mostly coffee roast, some citrus and piney hops. flavor is a bit of chocolate, coffee, and piney hops. pretty nice hoppy brown but a bit over carbonated.

On tap at RB Warrenville. Poured a deep coppery-garnet into the snifter with a tall creamy cap of beige head. Nose was of sweet bourbon, milled earth, nuttiness, tobacco, and dark chocolate... thought this was very well blended, just skewed slightly too far toward the bourbon. This was served way too cold, but I had a while... flavor found the sweet, very nice bourbon blend before the brown ale showed up.. dry toasted chocolate, ash, and tobacco came through.. reverting to the bourbon toward the finish... left a heavy, sticky sweetness on the finish. Sharp bourbon accents on the palate with an almost medium body. This was a solid brew.

Tap Warrenville- A dark brown beer with a decent head retention that had a decent hop taste but definitely a different tasting beer. A little hoppy with a little malty. a good beer.

This is a creamy, dark brown ale with a tan head that laces as it vanishes. It’s got a roasty nose, barley and coffee, with a touch of nuts and a light earthy bitterness. The aroma repeat in the tasting, although the earthy hop bitterness is more pronounced. Had they been more aggressive with the hops, I would’ve enjoyed this much more.
