frankenkitty (1789), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Oct 23, 2006 Hefty clouds within and slight whites above hang in lacing sheets over a lemon-yellow body. Lagered lemon nose with banana annotation. Thick and wheaty with a strong alcohol detraction. Banana flavor dominant with a strong grapefruit finish that is too brash to compare to the Hoegaarden Wit that the bartender compared this to.

Drnk_McDermott (1519), Park Forest, Illinois, USA Sep 15, 2006 Mug Club draft. More of a nice, cloudy orange than the nearly white I’ve found with other draft wits. A nice clean wheat beer smell with threads of orange zest. Problem is they served me a glass that they had in an ice cooler, so it was served too cold. I lost any complexity the beer might have had, but did enjoy it as a nice, light wheaty beer with that orange again, and perhaps some grains of paradise. As the beer warmed up toward the end, I also got a bit of lemon to it, too.
