Ughsmash (2835), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Mar 3, 2007 On tap at R.B. - Yorktown. Poured a lovely translucent coppery amber with a medium beige head and nice lacing. Sweet, well-toasted dark fruity sugars in the aroma with caramel, some earth, and floral notes.. some alcohol evident. Flavor picked up toasted dark fruit, caramel, dry earth, and pine bitterness... mild, raw alcohol as it warmed. Just felt OK on the palate.. some diacetyl sharpness around the edges.. sweet finish. Cornfield (4254), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Feb 19, 2007 Good looking beer, pouring a clear red body with a smidgeon of orange and hosting a full off-white head. The aroma is full of caramel and sweet apples with a light earthy bitterness. Those hops become more active in the flavor, balancing smoothly with the malty sweetness. It finishes on a mild yet lingering bitter note. Pretty good ale.

Drnk_McDermott (1519), Park Forest, Illinois, USA Feb 9, 2007 Draft. One of the fisrt specialties from new brewmaster Tim Marshall (ex of the RB Warrenville). This has a garnet brown body under a thinning head. A hearty caramel malt smell. Some fruity esters that are matched by a nice dry finish. Complex but light spicy hops. Malts are actually a bit light for the color, but there’s of them. Fine beer for the new location.
