COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
He stomps, he snorts, eyes aflame, nose pierced! No, it’s not an enraged bull in the field, but a city hipster in line at Starbucks who is disgruntled with his Vente. It’s time to get back to our roots & grab the bull by the horns! Time to quaff a pint (or two) of this formidable, corn-infused, golden lager. Ole!

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Lombard, IL). Welp, here goes! Pours a crisp golden straw hue, gentle kisses of orange glow, a largely transparent pour, kiss of haze with a cakey offwhite head atop that stays as a mellow layer, laces ok. Aromas are corn, a touch fusel, with bready and grainy malts, straw, grass. Lots of green apple comes into focus. Initial is lighter end of the fold, a bit fuzzy up front. Gentle carbonation pricks the palate with some bubbles, gentle grass, straw, and kisses of apple. Some corn, more corn, bread and grainy wet malts. A bit of paper, more green apple. Middle is tart green apple, grainy malts, grass, bits of grain and paper. Backend rounds into tart green apple, touch of lemon, creamed corn and bready malts. Meh. A bit dry and tart, touch of heat and fusel feel. Odd. Great lacing.

3.2
   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 14/20
tmoreau (2360) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - AUG 22, 2012
On tap at the RB-Yorktown brewpub bar, displaying a bright and clear golden hue, modest, white, silky head foam that gradually diminished to a thin ring & film, and left some spots & waves of lacing. The nose was sweet grain, typical lager scent, corn, and some noticeable alcohol. The flavor also contributed some low, spicy/peppery bitterness. The light body and soft carbonation prompted a bit of a watery texture, but was otherwise crisp and sessionable.
