Tap. Amber with small head. Belgian spice. Solid hops for a pale ale. Definitely the best of the sampler I had.

On tap and Mug Club served at the brewpub displaying a clear, golden hue, with some thick, persistent froth to the off white head, and good curtainy cling to the lacing. The nose was light yeast, then resiny hints, followed by some fruit sweetness and citrus. The flavor offered a medium, well rounded bitterness that was mildly earthy, and slightly peppery. Light to medium bodied, well balanced, with a pleasantly dry finish and nice drinkability.

Draft at Belgian Fest. One of my favorites of the fest, actually. Pours a pale gold with a stiff white head. Nose is piney and citrusy. Reminds me a lot of Daisy Cutter with a soft Belgian slant. Light fruity, toasty malt and a white pepper note. On tasting, firm bitterness that is refreshing. Light body. More of that woody daisy cutter thing going on, coupled with the Belgian yeast. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Draft on tap at Belgian Fest (Chicago, IL). Pours a richly hazed golden pour, dulled and darker, well hazed, with big cakey offwhite head, sticks around big and laces well. Aromas are distinct straw, bready malts, pale, and firm florals, grass. Some oranges, gumball, and lemons. Initial is lots of Amarillo, light body and clean, with gentle bready, pale malts. Grass, straw, gentle sweetness of orange, melon, and some florals. Gentle spice. Middle offers some gentle sweetness, oranges and bread, lighter and clean, some more spice. Backend and finish preach bread, gentle dough, straw, florals. A firm dryness, spice, grainy malt element. Clean yet a nice hop flavor and profile, refreshing, mellow sweeter yet still grainy and clean middle. Nice beer.
