drewbeerme (1840), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 22, 2008 on tap at RB Yorktown, pours hazy straw color with white head. nose is wheaty, spicy hops. flavor is spicy, wheaty, slightly sweet orange peel. a solid wit. kseecs16 (576), Westmont, Illinois, USA Feb 18, 2008 Just barely gold murky yellow color with a thin foamy white head. Aroma is fresh lemon, wheat, clove, citrusy. Lightly clovey upfront some orange citrus. A light easy drinker with a light but full foamy feel. Drnk_McDermott (1564), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Dec 29, 2007 Updated: Feb 13, 2008Mug Club mug. Cloudy yellow with white fluff on top, like an egg. Lemony yeasty smell. Taste has that citrus note that resolves slightly to orange, with notable coriander. I’d think I could spot chamomile in my beer, but not quite here. Nice dry taste, with hops definitely there, though in the background like a good Pilsener. Wheat and oats add to a nice soft texture, and a bit of american wheat taste. A bit light for a winter beer, but very nice. Cornfield (4343), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Dec 22, 2007 From the tap this poured a milky, straw colored body with a big sudsy head that laced the glass heavily. The aroma has a soapy yeastiness along with an almost floral bouquet from the coriander and chamomile spicing, followed by a light citric tartness. Very smooth. The coriander and chamomile come across first in the flavor, followed midway by a wheaty tartness and fruity citrus flavors. It finished on a dry, powdery note. Quenching and quaffable.
