Rye You Lil’ Punk is brewed with rye malt and Falconer’s Flight hops. The rye in the brew lends an earthy, slightly spicy note and pairs nicely with the citrus hop flavor and aroma. Falconer’s Flight hops are a blend of several different varieties of the most used hops for American IPA’s and give the beer a big citrus and stone fruit flavor and aroma.

Thanks to Doran the was sent to me in trade. This poured from the 16 oz can a hazy golden orange color with a beige head and excellent lacing. Attractive. Nose is rye, tropical fruit and citrus and floral hops. Medium in body with a resinous mouth feel. Flavor is rich with the rye and tropical fruit in good balance and the finish is big on the tropical fruit and nicely bitter. Really nice.

Tasted on 12/12/14 from a 16oz can, thanks to Shea. Pours hazy burnt auburn with an average beige head that slowly recedes to fairly thick, sticky lace. The nose is a cool blend of spicy, cereal rye with a lightly fruity, earthy green hops aroma. The flavor is nicely balanced with even more fruity hops, nice spice and earthiness balancing. The body is medium with average, smooth carbonation, and a long fruity, bitter, and spicy finish.

Pretty good ipa. Doesn’t taste like a 7%. Hits clean, but after a few minutes you get a bit of malt. Not a problem. My slacking on drinking shouldn’t matter in the review of a beer. This is a super solid and good ipa. Just not the best after you faded out and woke back up and started drinking again.

Had at 2014 Joplin Ozarks Beerfest. Surprisingly smooth rye IPA. Liked this one. Good finish to an eventful night for me.

Cloudy light amber color with small compact head. Nice aroma, the malt has a straws accent, some cereals and toffee, and mild resiny/fruity hops. Lean mouthfeel; delicate malt flavor, with a touch of caramel and toffee, very good choice for an IPA; strong hopping; there are good hop qualities (some resins and some fruits), although it may have suffered a bit (unfortunately the can doesn’t seem to be dated).
Very pleasant one.

Draft on tap at Bridge (St. Louis, MO). Pours a glowing gently hazed orange hue, nice frothy whitish head atop dies to a mellow film, subtle lacing and stick around. A bit of fiery copper and orange glow pervades the body. Aromas are fairly hoppy, given some fruit and citrus life. Grapefruit rind and touches of orange juice meet florals, gentle bready malt. Initial is lighter end of the fold, some nice potent hop zip up front shows florals, firm bitterness with pithy grapefruit and juice. Touches of bitter earth meet bready malts, faint biscuit and gentle rye malt. A gentle spiciness, earthy hops into the backend. Cleaner and approachable body, nice hop profile overall with a gentle kiss of fruitiness. Finish is bitter, a bit soapy and grapefruit driven. Some florals, gentle rye hang on. Nice. Pretty surprised this clocks in at 7%

Pour is a hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma is decently hopped with a spicy rye malt in the backround. Flavor is a decent helping of the rye with an equally nice hoppy backbone. Finish leaves a nice hop resin and rye on the tongue as this goes down.I don’t think this would win any awards against some other rye IPA’s but this one is right up there.

Sampled from he tap at the Bridge. Pours a clear light orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has lots of rye and earthy pine with a touch of grass. Flavor has bitter pine and a hint of onion and a nice rye bite backing.
