COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This brown ale is brewed with cherry wood smoked malt to give it a nice smokey flavor and aroma. As a session beer coming in at 3.5%, it’s perfect for pairing up with barbeque on those cool Saturday afternoons during football season.

Pint at ITAP Columbia. Dark brown with a lot of amber. A thicker layer that leaves a lotbof lacing. There is some smoke but it was not over done. This is quite bitter with a bigger hop profile than most. Citrus. Malts are just about right. A nice balance of sweet and bitter. I love the lw ABV.

On tap at 1839 Taphouse in Columbia. Pours a brown color with white head. Nutty, syrup, roasty flavors. Kind of fake syrupy, nutty flavor.

Pour is a brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice smoke at first followed by some leather tannis. Flavor is smoke to start then comes an ok breadyness. The low alcohol is a plus but I think adding more malt to amp the alcohol up a bit would have helped with the flavor. Still this is a decent smoked beer as the smoke is there but not in a meat bomb kinda way.

Sampled at Augusta Bottoms Beer Fest - Pours clear brown / bronze with a soapy tan head. The aroma is toasty, nutty, soapy and has a touch of smoke along with some minerals. The body is pretty thin with somewhat sharp sharp carbonation, but not a lot of carbonation. The flavor starts metallic and medicinal and a bit of nuttiness. This one didn’t work for me.
