Hazy brown colour. roasted aroma, toffee, malts and a well hopped presence. I also get a bit of earthyness in there. Fresh beer. slightly nutty aroma, bitter finish. a very easy drinking brew.

Deepbrown pour. The nose is softly toasty and a bit peppery with some logt cocoa. A touch of cocoa and some light toffee as well. Moderate coffee and some soft chocolate. Okay.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear-ish orangey brown with average-sized light tan head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel and fruit. Flavour is lightly roasty chocolate, caramel, nuts and some fruitiness. Average body. Solid.

2oz draft sample at brewpub. Decent brown colour and head. Smell and taste are malty with a little nut and wood. Body was medium. Overall, on target for the style.
