3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Corks of Cotham. It pours hazy deep red-amber with medium off-white head. The nose is earthy, brown bread, caramel, pepper, soap and orange marmalade. The taste is bitter, earthy, wood, resin, alcohol, orange, grapefruit peel and pepper with a dry, resinous finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. A bit too malt-driven for my liking. So-so.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Corks of North Street, Bristol. Hazy deep copper, with a short-lived beige head. Dense aroma of red berry fruits, caramel and grassy hops. Flavour Was malt upfront, before some massive hoppy notes of pine, red currants and orange peel, before a big, boozy finish. A different take on an IPA, which I enjoyed.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fruity citrus, passionfruit and rich malty, almost cherry notes. Red brown with a very slight haze, maybe because of how I poured. Big rich alcohol notes, even a little piney. Smooth mouthfeel, a tasty brew but nothing out of the ordinary really
