Bottle… Pours a dark, cloudy caramel with a small, frothy, off-white head. Good retention. The aroma is a swirl of toasted malts and herbal roots layered over light cinnamon and ginger with a suggestion of brown sugar. Medium to full-bodied with lively carbonation. Good balance – leans bitter, but only by a hair. Caramel malt and dark candy sugar accentuate. Finishes crisp, but hearty and warming. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!

Bottle @ home, courtesy of JStax. Thanks! JetsonFest II. Cloudy, brownish red appearance with a light brown head. Kind of a spicy, almond, cola, candy sugar, dark fruity aroma. Weird molasses, candy sugar, earthy, strange, sugary sweet flavor. This was a disappointment.

Sample at Hills Market during the Brewed Awakening Book Signing and Tasting on 02/05/2012. The beer is a slightly hazy dark brown color with a medium light beige head that dissipates slowly to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark malts, fruit and yeast. Medium body with a sweet fruity character and flavors of caramel malt, yeast and a bit of alcohol. The finish is malty with a toasty, fruity aftertaste. Good beer overall.
