Hazy orange color with a huge long lasting frothy head. Aroma of yeast and spices. Taste is medium bitterness, medium body, slick feel, lively, and very dry. Good.

Pours a clear gold with a large white head. It has the a citrus hops aroma with some herbs and a hint of hay-like malt aroma as well. This beer is delicious! It has a wonderful balance of bitter and sweet and I could actually feel the struggle between the two. The body is a solid medium with a slightly sticky texture, very pleasant carbonation, and a nice bitter finish. This is a great beer, and I love the fact that I could drive 35-45min and see the brewery. I hope Rockmill sticks around and continues to grow!

750 ml corked and caged bottle, purchased at a tasting event at the brewery last weekend. Served in a tulip glass, the beer pours a hazy orange/amber color with about an inch and a half off-white head. Head retention is good, with a lot of lacing left on the glass, too. The brew smells like bready malt, Belgian yeast, orange peel, peppery spice, pineapple and lemon. It’s a nice spicy and fruity aroma. It tastes like peppery spice, lemon peel, bready malt, yeast and some earthy hops. Good earthy/spicy finish. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s well carbonated and a bit dry. Drinkability is good, it’s certainly easy and enjoyable to drink. I think this is a good overall brew, another quality Rockmill beer in my opinion. I wouldn’t have any problems buying this again.

Bright gold color with big white head. This is a sweet & grassy and I loved it. A lot of spicy, citric, bitter notes make it pretty complex, but balanced. Definitely my favorite of Rockmill’s selection. Stilll expensive though :(

Lots of pressure under the cork...loud pop! Pours a hazy honey/amber with a huge foamy white head...very nice retention. Aroma has some wheaty spicy notes...a bit of leather and pepper...a faint soapy note. Flavor has lots of spice...peppery...nice leathery notes. Mouthfeel is medium and super lively with a dry spicy/yeasty finish.

Clear golden with a mammoth pillowy white head. Aroma is quite wine like with fruits and Belgian yeast spices. Medium, well carbonated body. Flavor has nice Belgian spice, fruits, herbal hops, and a bit of rock sugar. Well made and quite enjoyable.

Sample at the Ale Wine & Spirits Saison tasting on 07/28/2011. The beer pours a hazy amber-orange color with a medium lasting white head. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, yeast and bready malt. Medium body with mildy tart fruit, yeast, and spice flavors. The finish is fruity up front and leaves an herbal yeast aftertaste. Prettty good overall.

Bottle sample at the Rockmill tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 1/27/10. Pours a hazy amber with a thick off-white head. Malty nose that’s a bit sweeter than the wit, along with some herbal character (almost coriander-ish), some citrus and funk. Malty flavor with some caramel, and a spicy herbal character. Then there’s the slightest hint of vanilla, almost like an oak aged beer, before the bitter grassy finish takes over. Complex and very good saison.

Poured from a corked and caged 750 ml bottle. Appearance is a hazy copper with a thick white head of foam that maintains itself well. Aroma is sweet and fruity with a nice orange zest thing going on. Taste is somewhat subdued from the aroma but still sweet and earthy. In the finish is a fruity ester note that gives way to fresh ground black pepper. Interesting beer. Pick this up if the opportunity presents itself.
