COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our inaugural Pale Ale is an exuberant mix of malted and toasted barley and an obscene amount of New World hops added at every possible stage of the brewing process. Unfiltered and bottle conditioned to preserve all the flavour.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy light amber with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is yeast, citrus, floral hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a dry yeast, fruity, nettle hop, light spice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A slightly different take on an APA that works for me.

330ml bottle from Oddbins. Pours hazy gold, massive, over-flowing white head. Aromas of yeast, lemon, light tropicalia. Taste is more yeast, light bitter, bread. Something just not doing it for me with this one.

On tap at the Royal Navy Volunteer, Bristol, 15/7/2014. Slightly hazy gold, with a decent, off-white, head. Juicy, tangerine and tropical fruits, grassy hops, some crisp malts and a dryish finish. Very good.

Bottle from Oddbins, cloudy dark gold (OK, I didnít pour it as cautiously as I could have...) with a thin fine white head and aromas of tropical fruit, pine, something spicy, grapefruit and maybe a hint of honey. On the palate itís hugely hoppy but with a decent malty body underneath and an interestingly herbal or earthy bitter edge that made me think more of Anglo-American Pale Ale than APA.

Cask at the Le Gothique Wandsworth Beer Festival on 29 March 2013. Poured a hazy golden, with a halo of scummy white head. Really nice aroma of citrus hops, juicy fruit and honeycomb. Citrus and grapefruit hop flavours, with a nice biscuit malt backbone. Finish was nice balanced bitter resin, chewy malt and citrus peal.

Bottle from Oddbins. Hazy golden body with a thick white head. Steady carbonation. Excellent lacing. Aroma of sticky pine, orange and lime. Flavour of sticky resin, blood orange and a hint of ginger. Quite boozy. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Plenty of pine character on show here.

From bottle at Randall & Aubin, Soho. Pale amber with a healthy head. Citrussy hop nose. A bit lemony, hints of caramel, grass. Good dry finish. Quite interesting.

Bottled 14/02/14. A golden coloured beer with a big bubbly white head and lace. Nice tropical citrussy fruity hops in the nose. Very bitter in the mouth. Good sharp hops and nice pale malts. A bit too bitter really for me but doubtless a well brewed beer.
