3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Oddbins, Balham. Bottled 25/06/13. Pours a nice hazy orange colour with a white thinish head. Nice hoppy, tropical fruit aroma - passion fruit, pineapple, as well as tangerine, some pine, lycee. Medium to light body, medium carbonation. Very tasty - just my bag - funky juicy tropical fruit, veggie earthiness, touch of caramel, dry and bitter. I will say this though, it’s a 6.5% pale ale. It will be interesting to try an ipa from them - not sure how they’d differentiate. A tasty beer.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail
Bottled 20 MAR 2013 - Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of sweet juicy fruits, hints of grass and malts. Taste is smooth, hoppy and a bit grainy with hints of juicy fruits and malts. Finish is dry, bitter and a bit resinous with hints of grass and dried fruits. Okay pale ale with a bit untypical hop profile.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl bottle. Bottled 20.03.2013.
Pours hazy copper color with a large frothy head. Aroma of mandarin, orange zest, mild hop notes and caramel malts. Flavor of fruits, mild hops, hay and caramel. Could be crispier and hoppier, somewhat disappointing.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
16/VI/13 - 33cl bottle @ home - bottled: 19/III/13 (2013-561) Thanks to Nicki and Mike for transporting the bottle!
Slightly clouded dark orange beer, big creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the bottle. Lots of very small sediment floating around in the bottle. Aroma: very fruity, citrus, bit piny, exotic fruit cocktail. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice fruity start, pineapple, citrus, grapefruit, passion fruit, soft bitter hops. Aftertaste: little piny, nice dry hoppy ending, fruity flavours. Lovely pale ale, be it American or not.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Utobeer drunk at home. Hazy orange amber colour with lasting white head. Good grapefruit aroma. OK pale ale in the mouth. Yes, very drinkable, nice grapefruit and it’s very decent. Definitely floral and a little rose like. Likeable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
33cl bottle at The Sussex Arms, Twickenham. Murky orange/amber pour with thin white head and light lacing. Lots of grapefruit, orange and pine on the nose - sweet dough, light caramel and a touch of yeast too. Taste is lovely: pithy grapefruit, blood orange and pine resin backed up by a fairly chunky doughy, caramelly malt backbone. Medium (ever so slightly oily) mouthfeel. Lingering resiny bitterness which is fairly assertive but by no means overbearing. Very well balanced pale ale - wouldn't have imagined it to be 6.5% - good job indeed.
