Our inaugural Pale Ale is an exuberant mix of malted and toasted barley and an obscene amount of New World hops added at every possible stage of the brewing process. Unfiltered and bottle conditioned to preserve all the flavour.

33 cl bottle. Bottled 20.03.2013.
Pours hazy copper color with a large frothy head. Aroma of mandarin, orange zest, mild hop notes and caramel malts. Flavor of fruits, mild hops, hay and caramel. Could be crispier and hoppier, somewhat disappointing.

16/VI/13 - 33cl bottle @ home - bottled: 19/III/13 (2013-561) Thanks to Nicki and Mike for transporting the bottle!

Slightly clouded dark orange beer, big creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the bottle. Lots of very small sediment floating around in the bottle. Aroma: very fruity, citrus, bit piny, exotic fruit cocktail. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice fruity start, pineapple, citrus, grapefruit, passion fruit, soft bitter hops. Aftertaste: little piny, nice dry hoppy ending, fruity flavours. Lovely pale ale, be it American or not.

Bottle from Utobeer drunk at home. Hazy orange amber colour with lasting white head. Good grapefruit aroma. OK pale ale in the mouth. Yes, very drinkable, nice grapefruit and itís very decent. Definitely floral and a little rose like. Likeable.

33cl bottle at The Sussex Arms, Twickenham. Murky orange/amber pour with thin white head and light lacing. Lots of grapefruit, orange and pine on the nose - sweet dough, light caramel and a touch of yeast too. Taste is lovely: pithy grapefruit, blood orange and pine resin backed up by a fairly chunky doughy, caramelly malt backbone. Medium (ever so slightly oily) mouthfeel. Lingering resiny bitterness which is fairly assertive but by no means overbearing. Very well balanced pale ale - wouldn't have imagined it to be 6.5% - good job indeed.

330ml bottle, pours an orangey gold with a light hazy hue. Aroma has caramel and honey balanced with citrus hops, orange peel and pine. Well carbonated and well balanced with a long bitter sweet finish. Really good.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2013 Keg in The Lyric. Colour is rusty orange, with a white foam head. Nose is intensely hoppy, with a hell of a lot of citrous, grapefruit bitterness and pine. Taste is so hoppy that Iím wondering if theyíve kegged up the right beer! Bitter bitter citrous acidity for me, grapefruit, orange, lemon, lots of pine, lots of soap suds, caramel malt back bone. Bit too much for me!

330ml bottle. Clear amber colour ith average, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Nice fruity hoppy aroma has notes of tangerine, orange, peach, caramel malty basis. Taste is moderately sweet caramel malty, fruity and slightly bitter hoppy overtones. Sadly about a small scale trickle too sweet, minimally soapy hop finish. Nevertheless nice overall.
