3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Petit Canon. The pour’s a slightly hazy deep rusty orange with a medium eggshell white head. The nose is orange peel, allspice, light mango and spruce tree. The taste is moderately sweet orange citrus, syrup. A bit of grassy bitterness on the finish keeps the sweet flavors in check. Resin, pine needle. Mild hints of green apple. The body’s slightly doughy and flabby. Still, this drinks decently well. Overall, this is OK. I look forward to seeing these guys develop.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Oddbins, Balham. Bottled 25/06/13. Pours a nice hazy orange colour with a white thinish head. Nice hoppy, tropical fruit aroma - passion fruit, pineapple, as well as tangerine, some pine, lycee. Medium to light body, medium carbonation. Very tasty - just my bag - funky juicy tropical fruit, veggie earthiness, touch of caramel, dry and bitter. I will say this though, it’s a 6.5% pale ale. It will be interesting to try an ipa from them - not sure how they’d differentiate. A tasty beer.
