3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 EdKing (1302) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 2, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2013 Keg in The Lyric. Colour is rusty orange, with a white foam head. Nose is intensely hoppy, with a hell of a lot of citrous, grapefruit bitterness and pine. Taste is so hoppy that I’m wondering if they’ve kegged up the right beer! Bitter bitter citrous acidity for me, grapefruit, orange, lemon, lots of pine, lots of soap suds, caramel malt back bone. Bit too much for me!
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Idiosynkrasie (1842) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - APR 26, 2013
330ml bottle. Clear amber colour ith average, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Nice fruity hoppy aroma has notes of tangerine, orange, peach, caramel malty basis. Taste is moderately sweet caramel malty, fruity and slightly bitter hoppy overtones. Sadly about a small scale trickle too sweet, minimally soapy hop finish. Nevertheless nice overall.
