3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 onceblind (2532) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 7, 2011
Pours a cloudy bronze, a little darker than IPAs normally look. Big nose of floral piney hops and a firm sweet malt/caramel backbone. Pretty full bodied and slick. Sweet-ish malts hit up front, toffee, light nuttiness, and some pale malt give way to some grapefruity floral hops on the finish. Floral flavors rounded with light caramel/candy malts. Pretty balanced all around, average bitterness that lingered. But something just felt lacking....I dunno what. Somewhat forgettable IPA.
