Commercial Description:
For the BBQ’er on the go. A traditional German Hefeweizen, with a distinct but not overpowering smokey flavor. Slight banana and clove notes accompany a delicious smoked ham flavor from alder wood. Pairs amazingly well with any food, especially BBQ. Just imagine a pulled pork sandwich or a sizzling grill and you’ll be wishing for a Smoked Hefe Before you know it.

Pour is light yellow with a think head. Smells lightly of lemon and predominantly of smoked salmon. Taste is slightly sweet with a touch of sour. Feels fine, an interesting beer.

Draught at brewery(10/7/08) This brew poured a cloudy yellow with a small tight white head. Aroma of smoke and more smoke. The flavor gives you more smoke then going over to a sour taste. It finishes with a typical Hefe tastes(banana and coriander). This light bodied brew is not bad but definitely a different twist.

On tap at Rocky Mountain Brewery. Aroma is as smoky as an open pit BBQ. Color is a hazy yellow with a hint of gold. Carbonation is low but it makes a tight head. Taste is smoky and creamy. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a creamy feel. Finish comes in smoky and stays that way all the way though with just a hint of sour coming out on the end. After taste has the sour giving way to a mild banana and very faint coriander flavors. That is an amazing and unique brew, I recommend this brew and move over this brewery to anyone how like a interesting and unique experience.

Draught. Pours hazy light yellow with an average, fizzy, white head, somewhat diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, straw), light hops (herbs), average yeast (dough, earth) with notes of wood, smoke, and banana. Light bodied, thin texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

On tap @ Rocky mountain brewery poured a hazy yellow with a lasting white head. Aromas of smoke, wheat, light citrus and a hint of spice. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of smoke, wheat and hints of fruittiness and spice with a smoothy lingering smokey finish.

A very interesting beer tastes much better than it sounds.
