ExSpectator (65), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Dec 22, 2006 On tap, pours an almost pitch black. Small beige head. Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate. Flavor of cream, malt, chocolate, and coffee, with a strong milk chocolate and coffee finish. Not one of the bigger stouts, but definitely worth getting again. Cliff (301), Avon Lake, Ohio, USA Dec 20, 2006 On tap, pours an almost opaque black with reddish edges. No head what-so-ever I’m assuming due to the oats. Very mild aroma, but there is some coffee and burnt aromas. Nice roasted flavor, nothing really stands out, but its good. Thin mouthfeel for an oatmeal stout. Nice bitter finish. Good beer but has room for improvement. Chucks66 (84), Beachwood, Ohio, USA Dec 13, 2006 Draft at brewpub. Poured very dark, almost black. Nice aroma of roasted malt and chocolate, Flavor was bland forwar, but finished great with wonderful roast notes of oatmeal and chocolate malt. Definitely drinkable, not a huge stout but a good one. OhioDad (2492), Hilliard, Ohio, USA Jul 1, 2006 Growler from the brewpub visit on 6/28/06 - Pours very dark brown with a short brown head that faded pretty quickly. Aromas of chocolate and roasted malts. Flavors of chocolate and roasted malts abound in this one. Smooth mouthfeel almost like drinking milk chocolate. Finish is dry from the roast. Not too much carbonation. This is a nice sweet stout.
