Tap at the brewpub. Finally, a beer from these guys that’s worth drinking. Deep brown pour with a frothy head. Chocolate and coffee are featured on the aroma and taste. Smooth palate. Nice.

on tap at RRBC, this one had me the most excited without doing any prior research, its your average stout color but its ligther body coupled with very good carbonation makes this a treat, not much chocolate flavor mostly coffee dominated but i suspect the addition of the chocolate aids in the smooth taste.

Note: I got this beer on tap during Brew Week in Athens, Ohio.
Pours a very dark brown with a caramel head. Smells more of a coffee roast than chocolate. It has a medium sweetness with a carbonated soda feel. I like that this stout has a refreshing quality due to the soda-like palate but it loses it’s complexity in doing so I think.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Sammy (7040) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 10, 2011
On tap at the brewub. God but somewhat overated stout. Still good flaour for sessionable rated abv. Three eigths of retained mocha head on dark brown body. Lots of chocolate, very chocolately in fact. Some licorice, 31 ibu.Above average mouthfeel. Coco and malt aroma.

Sample at the Cleveland International Beer Fest on 5/14/11. Black pour with a medium tan head. Roasty aroma with fruit and chocolate. Roasty flavor up front, but quickly turns to chocolate syrup without being overly sweet (not ST Choklat). Nice, dry roasty finish.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Foxbush (991) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAY 11, 2011
We had dinner at Rocky River and watched the Kentucky Derby 2011. The stout was excellent. The color was jet black with no head. The medium body stout was pleasing to drink with roasted malt and chocolate flavors. We also detected some hint of cherries. this was one of the top stouts of our four day trip. Animal Kingdom won the derby.

Dark black in color.... Roasted malt and chocolate aroma... Flavor reminds me of youngster double chocolate stout, has a strong dark chocolate flavor backbone but definitely has nice notes of coffee after another taste... Great beer

July 17-19, 2008: Rocky River Oompa Loompa is near black with a foamy tan-colored head. The aroma is roasty with dark and semi-sweet chocolate. The flavor is mostly roasty with coffee undertones and not so much chocolate. It has a medium body, but not enough body or smooth, creamy mouthfeel for my preference. Good, not great. I was really hoping for more from this beer but just couldn’t find it!
Draught (pint) in Athens, Ohio during Ohio Brew Week 2008. Rating #29 for this beer.
