sliffy (1896), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 5, 2008 DLD ’08: Growler shared by Nate: Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Aroma, big piny notes, earthy, some citrus fruits, pale malts in the back ground. Flavor, pine, citrus, with a bready pale malt background, nice bitterness on the finish. Great stuff.
fiver29 (180), Strongsville, Ohio, USA May 2, 2008 On tap at the beer engine during hopfest. Poured a hazy dark amber/orange color with a thick off white head. Had a very nice aroma that smelled of pine and grapefruit. Had a medium mouthfeel and tasted upfront like grafefruit, followed by some bitter pine, and finishing with a sweet caramel blending of hop flavor. Overall this is a very tasty brew. If it were a regular on tap I’d be making special trips to Rocky River for this one. TheShat (88), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Apr 30, 2008 Hoppy and delicious! I am not a big Rocky River Brewing Company fan so I did not have high expectations. This draft was aromatic with a nice frothy head. A complex punch of fruity bitterness and a long dry finish make this beer a winner.
