Most interesting palate of any wheat beer I’ve had, but that’s not a compliment. There is lemon there, like a lemonade syrup in the UK. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 22, 2004 I was a little disappointed when I saw the beer coming -- filtered, not cloudy like I like my wheat. As usual, I drop my lemon in, and take a sip. Turns out I didn’t need the lemon. The "hint" of lemon was a good shot of citrus, much more than I expected. This is an excellent summer/spring beer, light and citrusy. Worth the trip out of DC or Baltimore.
