alaskanwarren (271), Edgewater, Colorado, USA Mar 1, 2008 Pours nice and dark with a moderate tan head, but the aroma tells you there’s more going on here. It’s sweet and tangy, with some nice roastiness. Flavor is heavy on the bourbon, and the roast balances really nicely. Moderate to heavy body that feels appropriate given the style and bourbon aspect. I’d recommend this to anybody looking for something interesting in the stout range.
ratman197 (2274), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jul 2, 2008 Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small quickly disapasting tan head. Aromas of bourbon, coffee, milk chocolate, vanilla and a hint of oak. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Definatly could use more body for the style. Flavors of bourbon, cocoa and light vanilla with a smooth malty finish
This beer is a big dissapoinmewnt! Very one dimensienal and too light bodied for the style. The worst part I bouight 6 bombers at $10 a pop! dwyerpg (2065), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Feb 27, 2006 A nice stout, but suprisingly little aroma for being aged in bourbon oak barrels. However, the bourbon flavor is plenty evident in the flavor. Thick, and sweet, a decent one-at-a-time sweet stout.
