COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The brewer allow the beer to macerate with fresh cherries, raspberries and cranberries. After this maceration in oak, the beer re-ferments in the bottle. The result is RODENBACH Caractère Rouge, an exceptional RODENBACH with fruit maceration and a 7% alcohol volume. The brew is more than unique and extremely exclusive, as only 900 75-cl bottles were produced. Geunes serves this wilful beer as part of his other unique range of beer varieties in his restaurant, ’t Zilte, at the Antwerp MAS museum.

Bottle from whole foods. Pours fairly clear red with a small head. The aroma is loaded with tart cherry, raspberry, and you do pick up the cranberry. The taste has a ton of tart fruit. The cranberry dominates for me but the cherry comes out on the finish. Delicious.

Pours a clear ruby/amber with a medium white head. Aroma has nice fruity notes of cherry and cranberry...just a slight tart/acidic note. Flavor has awesome cranberry, nice and tart/sour with cherry creeping in. Mouthfeel is light and silky with a dry tart cranberry finish...fabulous.

Bottle (Batch 2). Poured a mahogany-ish color with a smaller sized tannish head. Berries, cherries, more berries, and some read wine.

Murky red brown color with a medium sized, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of cherries, leather, vinegar, pie crust, red wine, and wild yeasts. Taste of the same, cherries, red wine, cranberries, raspberries, and a sour cherry finish.

Aroma brings a sweet medley of fruity sodas including cranberry and cherry. Pours bright pinkish amber with a white sandy pinkish head. Flavor brings some sweet and tart berries settling so smooth in the palate. It is not too dry, with just the right amount of juiciness.

Ruby with tiny white head. Nice tart red fruit aroma. Flavor is a bit jammy with red fruit. Nice but not much better than reg rodenbach.

Bottle. Gorgeous ruby/brown pour with a pink-tinged head. Aroma is tart fruit, cranberries and some great Flanders funk. Fruit is dominant. Flavor is tart cranberries, raspberries linger in the back and there is just a hint of cherry sweetness all surrounded by a beautiful Flanders Red base. Phenomenal beer.

750 cc shared by me at CAH. Pours hazy ruby with minimal head. Nose is complex multi-layered fruit, with predominant cranberry and cherry. Tastes tart, fruity, with notes of oak, lactose, vanilla, and mostly cherry THEN cranberry, with finishing lactic tartness. This one is delicious.

Fantastiskt gott. Smak och doft av hallon, smultron, körsbär. Lagom syrlighet i kombination med ekträ och rödabär. Välbalanserad och lagom söt. Elegant och harmoniskt i gommen. Mer av detta tack.

bottle, from Triangle Wine. Good aroma, sweet, fruity. I get raspberry the most, with cherry and cranberry. Tad hazed brownish red color, good initial head, faded to a ring. Sweet tart flavor. Light body, thin sticky mouthfeel, sweet finish. pretty nice, not sure if it was worth the price, around 20 bucks. but nice fruity aroma, sweet tart flavor, good beer
