COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The brewer allow the beer to macerate with fresh cherries, raspberries and cranberries. After this maceration in oak, the beer re-ferments in the bottle. The result is RODENBACH Caractère Rouge, an exceptional RODENBACH with fruit maceration and a 7% alcohol volume. The brew is more than unique and extremely exclusive, as only 900 75-cl bottles were produced. Geunes serves this wilful beer as part of his other unique range of beer varieties in his restaurant, ’t Zilte, at the Antwerp MAS museum.

Bottle shared at DC Annual Epic Sour Tasting, thanks Shaftie! Hazy caramel brown with off-white head. Aromas of jam, cherrie, light funk. Tastes of cherry, dark fruit, light funk. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Pretty tasty.

Color rubí con espuma color crema oscura. Aromas dulces y afrutados de caramelo y frutos rojos con toques ácidos. Cuerpo medio-alto, el sabor es exactamente el que encontramos en la nariz, añadiendo un final seco. Excelente.

Bottled. Poured cloudy reddish orange with a short toasted beige head. The aroma picked up lots of tart cherries and oak with nice funk. The flavor found similar, picking up some cranberry.. more tart cherry and oak on the finish. Tart, refreshing, and well-balanced.
