UselessGdTaste (359), Long Beach, California, USA Jun 2, 2008 On tap at beachwood BBQ. I had the grand cru before and so this beer is suffering a little from the younger brother syndrome. It is much less aggressive in both flavour and sourness than the grand cru, but still is delicious and refreshing. Just not as huge.
Ottima Odeed (1473), Bakersfield, California, USA Aug 13, 2008 murky brownish/orange with a small light brown head that just forms on the top of the beer.i pick up caramel malts, cherries, some funk, and berries.flavor is oak,and the rest of the aroma flavors.not as complex as the grand cru but still really nice. darkguardian (166), Florida, USA Aug 12, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours a reddish mahogany with a good sized beige head. Some sourness in the nose, with alot of sweet red fruit aroma, a slight vanilla note. Slightly sharp and sour at the start with a bit of metallica and some vanilla and vineagar in the finish. An ok sour but I’ve had many that were better. Ober (276), Best, Netherlands Aug 10, 2008 A little hazy, dark red beer, with a off white head. The aroma is a little sour, with some sweets of fruit. Also some wood tones. The taste of red cherries, sour and woody. Also fruit notes, like prune. A little bit watery. A fresh beer. IrishBoy (2111), Bakersfield, California, USA Aug 9, 2008 750 ml bottle from Country Club Liquors; Nose has a note of light tartness, brown sugar, and cherries; Hazy brown with a small tan head; flavor is lightly tart, with cherry and berry notes; finish is fruity with very slight tartness; not a very sour ale!
