I adore this beer. I have a huge affinity for sour things and this beer is like a gift from god. It pours a rich brown, and the aroma is very sour with hints of earthy berries. The flavor is heavenly. Rich, smooth, sour, just the right amount of tartness. Hints of currants, cranberries, and figs permeate the taste of this beer. It has a vinuous character to it, which makes its palate quite complex.
If you like sour ales, seek this out.

Aug 26, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark red-brown with creamy beige head. The aroma is sweet and oaky with some chocolate and ripe fruit notes. The flavor begins with a mellow, sour acidity that fades into a pretty strong oak presence with light chocolate and cherry. The finish is crisp and leaves a fruit and oak aftertaste. It’s a little bit lacking in the complexity department, but still a nice sour.

SOUR--but not sour patch--fresh and flowery... intense... light-bodied but the presence is apparent; clean (no tracing on the glass is proof), so much that the mouth could forget the experience seconds after... WOW: a tartness early, with sugary sweetness throughout--and yet a mellow, fizzy finish! The beer’s as fun as it gets, pleasantly poppy and refreshing, especially on a humid evening such as this...

Aug 16, 2008 In bottiglia da 25cl al Falstaff; purtroppo il colore è difficile da individuare bene a causa dell’oscurità nel locale, ma propenderei per un ambrato carico. Schiuma poca ed evanescente; aroma vinoso ma al tempo stesso leggero e fragrante. Si lascia bere a grandi sorsate. Ottima

Aug 13, 2008 murky brownish/orange with a small light brown head that just forms on the top of the beer.i pick up caramel malts,cherries,some funk,and berries.flavor is oak,and the rest of the aroma flavors.not as complex as the grand cru but still really nice.
