Tiny growler. Amber with an off-white head that retreats to the rim straight away. Aroma of berries, bracken, apples, caramel. Quite sour, perhaps not as acidic as expected - and no vinegar at all. Thin lassi-like texture, low carbonation. Under-ripe berries, apples, toffee, damp undergrowth, some hard spices. Deeply refreshing. Very lovely indeed.

Cask. Dark cherry brown. 2 finger dense whip cream head. Aroma: Brown sugar nose, oak, cherry, peach and tannins/red wine. Taste: decent mouthfeel. A bit oily and slick. Tastes very young. Medium oak finis. Cherry, bramble and kiwi taste. Very tropical. Aged hops and for sure a lot of tartness.

10cl draught sample at Zythos Bierfestival, Leuven. Almost transparant brown color, offwhite creamy head that nicely laces. Vinous Rodenbach nose but the taste is less prominent, uncarbonated, a little watery but nicely sour.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 1 March 2015) Brownish amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of tart fruit, vinegar, oak wood and caramel. Fruity, tart taste with a slightly sharp vinegar taste, caramel, black-currant, sour fruit and a bitter-sweet finish with a touch of balsamic vinegar. Medium body, with a slightly bitter-sweet character. Fresh, tasty and quite tart. Not as complex and balanced as the Grand Cru, but still ... a nice one.
