COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

wellllll, i didnít hate it. definitely not my favorite style. this had a pretty big vinegar/ketchup flavor. cherry sourness. way more intense than the NG enigma.

Slightly murky brown color. Very sweet/sour smell. The flavor has a quick flash of dark sweet fruit, but then it goes sour. Really, really sour and funky. Damn. I think sour beers are the best thing in the damn world.

750 ml bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of berries, apple, grape, oak and a hint of vinegar. Palate was light bodied crisp and tart. Flavors of fruittiness, oak, light straw and a faint hint of spice with a crisp lingering tart finish.

33 cl bottle. Red-brown color with some head. Aroma of cherries and something sour about it too. Tart and sour in flavor, with some yeast coming thru. Has a more sweet and smooth finish that leaves a dry and bitter taste on the palate. All in all a very fruity beer.

33 cl bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a clear reddish-brown color with a one finger thick light tan head. Light lacing. Aroma is kinda narly. Smells like the house when my daughter colors Easter eggs. I guess thats how itís supposed to smell. Flavor is bitter and tart. Suprisingly smooth. I canít really pinpoint any other flavors. This is just not my style of beer. Glad I didnít buy the 750.

I had a big bottle from the Beir Stein. Does not stack up to the the 10 year old version I had at Kulminator (ha ha ha, yeah)... but still excellent. Something has changed over the years - i am sure itís been covered here at some point.

Bottle, with Fin, Loz and Traci. Rustic brown, off white head. Aroma of basamic vinegar, cherries, chutney, mineral. A rich tawny aroma. Cinnamon spicy flavor, clean bright acidity, a bit of pit fruit. I donít taste oak outright, but there is a nice vanilla note that could be oak related. A little iodine in the finish. Very singular, very nice. Thanks Fin!

Appearance: brown reddish color. Medium head, beige color, consistent and very persistent. Beautiful. Aroma: fruitiness of cherries, blackberries, red apple, sour plums and quince. Liquory, like wine and appleís cider. Spicy like peppers, clove, mustard seed and nutmeg. The sourness I remember me a yogurt and vinaigrette. Other notes, such as, damp wood, vanilla, smoked. Not hoppy, low malty. Flavor: even more complex that aroma, rare and exotic. Sweet and intensive sour start, lactic sourness, fruitiness of plums, ripe berries, cherries, green grape (like chardonnay), pears and green apples. I remember the apple cider, the natural yogurt and a Chardonnay wine. Spicy notes of mustard, peppers, blond vinegar, clove, nutmeg and mints. Not hoppy finish; malty, woody (oak), cherry and sweet-sour aftertaste. Palate: medium body, silky and oily texture. Medium carbonation. Refreshing, highly sour, very complex, exotic and nice beer. Only the belgians could create it!
