Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Amber brown pour with a decent head. Sour fruit smell. Flavor is nice and big and granulated sugar like. Not bad and actually almost comforting like a dessert.

33cl bottle at home. darkest red brown, medium bubble sized, off-white head. very sweet nose with heavy lactic acid notes. Vanilla, cherries and heaps of sour. Almost wine-like. very complex, metal finish. not bad :-)

Bottle 33cl. Really nice red color with a mini head. Aroma is really fruity with cherry and oak. Taste is sour and lots of cherry and oak and plenty of acidity. Really good!

A reddish beer with a vaguely brown head. Aroma is fruity with cherry and port dominating. The flavour is PANG, straght forward fruity and sour with a very balanced funky flavour. Really good with loads of port character and a great aging potential.

Draft. I’ll admit sweet beer isn’t my thing but I found this to be very interesting. I really liked the flavor of cherry with a mildly sour finish. Enjoyable.

Cool tan head of tiny bubble foam clings to the glass when you swirl it. I am amazed that I enjoyed this flemish sour ale since it hasn’t been my thing on previous tries. Odd fragrance and flavor of balslmic vinegar, sweet cherry, tart rasberry, and sour lemon and grapefruit. So from nose to aftertaste this is a rollercoaster. The sourness doesn’t hit hard until the finish and then fades in the aftertaste.

Flaske.

Bottle. Reddish brown with large tan head that fades. Muted sourness in the aroma, vinegary at times. Tart cherry, raspberry, and lemon zest flavors that are complemented by considerable sweetness. Pleasant woodiness that comes and goes and tart spice that sticks in the back of my throat. It finishes with lingering back and forth of sweet and sour. Really a pleasure to drink.
