A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

UPDATED: SEP 24, 2014 Drank this sat in the sun on De Panne Beach , pours very cloudy red, taste is tart with a carbonated tang, and hinted at fruitiness, seemed a little thin, maybe I had a duff bottle or I just need to try it again.......apparently hard to find so must buy a bottle while I’m still Here in Belgium

Piana drobnop?cherzykowa. Kolor ciemny zmetniony. Zapach odpowiadajacy zapewne stylowi i le?akowaniu w beczce. Kwaskowate w smaku, orze?wiaj?ce. Pozostawiaj?ce kwaskowaty posmak. Zdaje si? ?e wyst?puje w aromacie aceton.

Pours dark red brown, very cloudy and small tan head. Aroma is very grapes and cherries, oak is prevalent and this carries a strong wine aroma. Taste is immediately tart cherries and grapes with a transition into woodiness. Tartness lingers. Very nice

Barwa: głęboko miedziana, wyraźnie zamglona. Piana beżowa, niewielka, szybko opadająca i pozostająca jedynie przy ściankach. Aromat: karmel, wino owocowe (wiśniowo - jabłkowe), nuta alkoholowa i kwaskowość przypominająca kwas mlekowy i octowy. Smak: kwaskowy, jedynie odrobinę słodki z nuta alkoholową zbliżoną do "babcinego" wina owocowego. Dopiero w tle posmaki karmelowe.

Very tart but also punctuated with a strong fruity taste. This definitely isn’t a beer for everyone, but I love it.

09/13/2014 - From bottle in tulip glass. $5 (!) for 750ml @ Costco. Effervescent, hazy mahogany, very thin off-white lacing. Sour aroma of tart cherries and bread. Fruity taste of cherries and some berries. Tart acidity very prevalent but not overpowering. A bit oaky on the the back of the tongue. Dry finish. Great beer to share just about any time. Well balanced, accessible sour with good availability. Stock up if you find it cheap.

Poured from bottle to glass. Brown hue with off white hue that dissipated to a ring. Aroma is caramel, lactic, acetic, balsamic, oak, grape must, toffee. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium light body and crisp carbonation. Taste is sweet initially with acidic tart following and dry finish. Overall this is a good brew.
