Awesome beer. This is a great representation of the style. The aroma is funk, fruit, malty, sour and yet like a dopplebock at the same time. the appearance is a beautiful red/brown, cloudy, off-white head. The flavor is malty, brown mustard, vinegar, fruit. The finish is a tart fruit sour taste. Very, very good. Damico (162), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 18, 2009 Sweet cherry and musty aroma. Sour but delicious cherry flavor. Macadem (100), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Sep 8, 2009 Pours a caramel, dark honey color with a frothy off-white head. Smells of white grapes, melon and sour cherries. Feels almost champagne like in the mouth, a nice soft palate with great tartness. Tastes almost sweet, though i think thats the wrong word. White grapes and cherries for taste, with nice lacing in the glass. BeerViking (189), Brentford, Greater London, England Sep 2, 2009 33cl bottle bought in Belgium. Pours a cloudy red-brown with a fast-disappearing head, sweetish aroma of pear drops and redcurrants with a hint of vinegar. Palate is initially dry, woody and musty, becoming fruity and refreshing, but finishing off sweet and slightly cloying. Listigovers (96), Ontario, Canada Aug 28, 2009 Updated: Oct 2, 2009First sour ale. Really good, pours murky brown. Acidic, but not too sour. Interesting. Had last night so not too detailed.
