Red clear colour, with a bit thin head. Aroma of sour, yeasty, citric and has a alcy nose in the end. Flavor has almost the same, and had a nice smouth mouth feeling, medium body, and nice medium compleyty finish. Nice oakbluff (298), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 8, 2007 Murky reddish brown with quickly dissipating off white head. Nose is tart cherries, and some funk. Taste- pretty straight forward sour cherry. Slightly acidic but nothing crazy. Citrusy finish to it. Carbonation is high which suits the style. Very good beer, but not mind blowing. Some woodiness comes through as it warms. Definitely an approachable beer for the style. WabashMan (801), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 2, 2007 A good sour ale, though I can’t claim to have had too many. This one pours a clear, very dark reddish brown, with a fairly thin light tan head. Nose is...well...sour, with some noticeable vinegar notes. Flavor is sour, as well, but not in an unpleasant or overpowering manner. Mixed berry flavors come through, as the beer begins by biting at the front of the tongue, with a sour, and also sweet berry flavor in the middle, before a sour, dry finish. Also of note is the generous carbonation, throughout. fonefan (11003), VestJylland, Denmark

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Old rating off a pile of forgotten notes. Pours slightly hazy dark amber with ruby lights and lacy white head. Light body, active carbonation. Sour cherry and vinegar in the aroma and taste. Well rounded. Dry on the finish. jcr (1148), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2007 Bourbon colored, clear body with off-white head. Aroma is woody, vinegary with some notes of malty carmel and fruits — plum and raisin. The flavor is heavily sour and slightly sweet. Thin body, watery texture. Lively carbonation. Enjoyed sipping this though it didn’t knock my socks off. Alldaydrinker (558), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2007 Pours an ruby brown colour with a small off white creamy head. Nose is very tart, cherries, red wine, sugar, and some vinegar. The initial taste is mouth puckering with a fizzy active mouthfeel. Tart cherries & cranberries blanket the mouth. Oakiness comes through with a unique funk that is enjoyable and doesn’t get offpace. Apon the finish a sharp dry bitter rhine with the tartness of the red fruits still linger in the background character. Acidity is definitely up there. Good head retention and lacing of the glass. Palate duration is average. Definitely enjoyable. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2007 330ml bottle. Pours mahogany brown with an inch of white head that quickly subsides but leaves heavy lacing. Aroma is sharp, sour fruit with cherry & apple in particular notable. Great mouthfeel and a sour tang that makes you shiver. Lovely long finish too. Not too complex, but a great introduction to sour ales and a good beer to have on hand to pair with strong food.
