COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

330 ml, flaske, 6,0 % ABV, købt i Den Belgiske Ølbutik i Vanløse, 17. juni 2014.

Bottle at home from mchughs. Pours murky autumnal ruby red. Circled by a tan foam. Nice lacing. Powerful sour white wine aroma upon opening. Subsides to a cherry, honey, balsamic vinegar aroma. Sharp, Tangy, sour, tart, tarter sauce flavouring. Malt base is there, slightly. Cheery Sherbert, lasting tart aftertaste. Carbonation makes a buzz in the mouth, making the sour last. This is a balanced sour and a really nice beer. Interesting style.

Bottle. Pours red brown with an off white head. White grapes, balsamic vinegar, sour apples, red berries, cherries. Medium sweet and sour. Lasting tart finish. It’s really different from what I’m used, but quite likable!

Bottle.

Red/brown clear body, thin head. Aroma of vinegar and some sweet grapes. The taste reminds of wine that has turned to vinegar. Bites the tongue stiffens the mouth. Light sour aftertaste.

Ruikt zurig. Smaakt heerlijk, lekker zuur, beetje zoet. Topper.

330 ml bottle from BeerNavigator.com. Dark red to brown color, with a thin beige head. Aromas of vinegar, sour at first with some cherries maybe. Taste was phenomenal! Sour at first, vinegar, cherries, maybe some wood, and sweet after a while. Sweet aftertaste, long lasting. Medium bodied with low carbonation.

Complex aroma of tart cherry, wine, sour apples, wild yeast, some oak. Flavour has a little sweetness, quite sour, vinegar. Very well-balanced. I liked this one much better than the ’regular’ Rodenbach. Very, very good.
