A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Great Cru! Everything about this beer is enjoyable if you like sour beers (as I do). Sour aroma, dark milky brown appearance, sour/sweet taste, lingering aftertaste (which is good in this case). A must try!

Aromat winny, kwaśny, czuć zarówno nutę pestkowo-beczkową, jak i lekko stajenne wtręty. W smaku bardzo owocowo, oczywiście w stronę kwaśnych wiśni i porzeczek. Lekko dzika nuta pałęta się w tle. Całość bardzo pijalna. Świetne !

Bière brune au goût fortement développé de bois. Peu de mousse. Un petit bonheur comme seuls quelques brasseurs savent nous offrir.

A very nice bottle with the drink temperature on the label. A brown cloudy beer with a short cappuccino head, very fresh and drinkable, medium sour, you can smell apple and wood, the finish is very short, (I have a 0.33l bottle with best-before 14/10/17 19 17:40.)

330 ml bottle served in a St. Bernardus snifter. BB date of 28 Jan. 2017. Hazy mahogany body with a thin, weak head. Patches of lacing left on the glass nonetheless. Aroma: Some barnyard and wet leather aromas mixed with dark over-ripe fruits. Flavor: moderately tart with a light sweetness. Less funky and more, appealing dark dried fruit and cherries than the aroma suggests. Overall: not my favorite Rodenbach.

Bottle. Pours deep burgundy with a large to medium light beige head which recedes to a moderate firm layer. Aroma is cherries, balsamic vinegar, cranberries. Taste is sweet cherry, a modicum of tart cherry, sweet raspberry, acetic, modest oak notes. Modestly sour balanced with a nice fruity sweetness.
