A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Great great sour ale. Pours red with a nice small head. Aroma reminds me of a crayola marker.... In a good way... Fruity with a lot of grape and apple. Nose reminds me of red wine. Taste is fruity like red wine. Grapes and citrus, grapefruit and granny smith apples. A great beer that you definitely have to be in the mood for.

Prominent sour Belgian bubblegum aroma in a dark redwood pour. Tasty tangy flavour from start to finish with lighter body than the sweeter versions of the style (but just as good - just different). A worthy legend.

Muddy browned amber body with a brownish tan head. Aged vinegar malt nose that is oud bruin-like. The body is twangy sour malt, a touch of vinegar and red wine. This tasting experience was a bit rushed--I need to enjoy this one again more leisurely.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Shared at a tasting. Pours a hazy rusty brown with a half-finger off-white head that lingers throughout. Light vinegar, plum, raisin and tart notes noticeable on the nose with some brown sugar in the background. Active carbonation with a light body and refreshing mouthfeel. Hides the 6% abv masterfully. Sweet with some light tartness on the palate...berries? Classic Belgian beer.

Mørk brun noe tåkete med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter bæreddik, epler og noe trevirke. Sur smak, snerpende frukt og bær. Smaksbombe.

Nice aroma, pours with a slight head looks lovely and thick. But the taste is intensely sour graoe, lingers with a strong fizz. Unfortunately reminded me of one of those cheap fizzy drinks you would have had as a child... Just not for me.

Donker bruin bier zonder schuim.
