A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

bottle and labels look oldfashioned and very conservative, but it’s good for such a noble drink. foam is week, colour of beer lis dark-brown with red. smells like homemade wine or liquer from cowberry and taste confirms that impression ... with hints of old oak. very fresh and very winey.

Fantastic taste. Always à couple bottles in my cellar. The aroma remains surprising each time.

Tap and or bottle on many occasions...never got around to ticking her. Pours a low carbonated red purple color with small head. Notes of fruit syrup, cherry, vanilla oak, and sugar. I have always preferred New Glarus fruit juices to these folks

Belgium at it’s finest but not excellent. It’s merely just plain excellence. But grab it if you can.

Rusty brown/red with a thin bubbly tan head which quickly fades to a ring. Some light lacing. Aroma is sourness and cherries with some brown bread, solvent and notes of cocoa Taste is very sour, cherries and raspberries. Tarte apple cider vinegar finish. Medium body, medium carbonation, oily mouthfeel, acidy

Aroma: apple, fruits, sourness. Appearance: brown haze almost without head. Taste: apple, a bit smoothly, tart in the finish like in wine. Palate: middle body, small carbonation.

First sour I ever had and still one of my favourites. Love the balance of fruit with slight vinegar bite, just right.

Deep magohany brown red color with quickly disapearing brown foam. Aromas tart of oak, wet wood, cherries with red wine undertones and juniper. Palate, medium body with smooth and tslick texture leaving fruity soft finish. Taste is tart and sour of wood, juniper and sour cherries then developing into more soft and pleasant ripe cherry flavours folowed by plum. Overall, nice beer, initialy bit too tart but once flavours develops tastes really nice. Do recomend.

This tastes rather like a Belgian naturally fermented beer, it is dark and fruity with a sour taste as per lambic beers. It’s rather nice.
