Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Bottle and drought. Pours a red brune body with an off white head. Sour cherries and lightly woody with a nice tart character in the aroma but is more subdued in the flavor. Balsamic notes and a hint of woody berries. Delicious.

Bottle [Tasting @ Per 23-02-2007]. Head was average with a creamy appearance and a light brown like color. Good lacing. Body was hazy with a reddish-brown hue. Aroma was quit complex with notes of grapefruit, fresh apple, vinegar and cherry. Some malty notes could also be detected. Nice fresh bouquet that continues in mouth. Full bodied with a light dry texture and a lively carbonation. Flavor was moderated acidic, but with a very well balanced sweetness to counter the acidic. Excellent fresh finish. Wow what a beer.

TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 12. This bottled brew was enjoyed at the Days Inn in Chattanooga Tennessee with Shag after we returned from the Big River Bar and Grill. It poured a creamy head of finely sized light brown colored bubbles that left behind a fair lace and a hazy light brown colored body. It had a fruity strawberry aroma and a dry mouthfeel that was fizzy initially and soured in the finish. I remember it being a wonderful brew. I want to thank Shag for bringing it to the room for our night cap. It was wonderful!

(Bottled, 6.0% ABV) Clear, dark, deep ruby color with a smallish, tanned head. Tart, wooden cherry aroma with balsamico and sugar. Tart, sweetish cherry and vinegar flavor with oak barrel, and a dryish, astringent finish. Medium-bodied, a bit thin, sharp and sugary palate with quite high and slightly fizzy carbonation. Sticks to teeth. Quite sugary, but bearable. Could be more complex, though - or maybe I’m just not qualified enough to find the hidden flavors and aromas. (Rated 1/2/2004, was 3-4-3-3-10=2.3) Very dark, ruby red color. Extremely sour! Distinctive cherry flavor. This really is a beer of its own, with a very complex taste, but unfortunately it’s much too sour for me.

Shared at Coastal Wine Connection’s beer club (thanks Cameron!). Nice caramel brown color with a thin filmy top. Aroma ... wow, alcohol and Bazooka Joe bubblegum, I swear. As I drink, this is an intensely vinegary, tart, puckery, lemon-stingy and lingers for several minutes on your tongue after you swallow. I think you could use this as coleslaw vinegar, but somehow it’s good ... very good. (#2965, 6/7/2007)

Dark red with fuzzy white head. Bier rouge family. Smell of vinegar & sour fruits - cherries. lively carbonation. Very sour and refreshing. The finish is long and again refreshing and has a little sweetness. Fantastic, but not easy drinkable! "Must taste this style of beer more than once before you judge it" (Oerbier, duchesse etc.)

Lactic sourness and notes like fermenting grass (in a good way). Deep red, head did not last long for me. Refreshing sourness, which cleans the palate wonderfully. Tastenotes of srawberries and apples. Leaves a nice tingle on the tounge, which i wish would last longer.
