COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Transfer from BA review on 8-16-12 - Served on tap in a snifter glass Appearance – Served a deep ruby color with a small off white head. The head faded relatively fast to leave only a very light level of lacing. Smell – The aroma was of a heavy sour grape and cherry aroma with some green apple and vinegar smells. Taste – The taste begins of a fruity sourness. A puckering cherry and grape are most noticeable in the beginning. As the taste advances however a apple cider vinegar taste comes to the tongue and blasts the taste buds with a sour flavor. These take the taste to the end where a light yeasty flavor comes to the tongue along with a lighter dark fruit sweetness which ever so lightly mellow out the very vinegary taste. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is light and a little prickly with the carbonation level being above average. Both do a wonderful job with the very sour nature of the beer and make it quite drinkable. Overall – While not really my favorite beer style, this is a nice and sour Flemish with a good flavor profile. It is classic for a reason.

Not much on the nose. However a large biting Taste of vinegar, sour and red wine. Tastes like a base of brown ale that has has sour added to it. Flavorful however had to drink a whole bottle of this I one sitting. Cheers.

Deep mahogany with a small head. Aroma is cherry , cherry bonbons, chocolate. Body is medium, texture thin, carbon well. Taste is sour. Palate with sour tones like a mixture of different cherries, but also oak wood and some medicine. B@H

Had this in the park 20/07/14 with cam and rach. pours a red brown with small poppy head. smells of sweet n sour sauce, red wine, dark cherries. taste is pretty wild. mostly malt vinegar and buttery sugar sweetness. bit of cherry in there too. the vinegar vibes kinda heavy handed. it was weird but im glad i tried it

33cl. Bottle.
Pours brown with tan head.
Aroma sour, tart, cherry, some sweet fruits.
Taste sour cherry, some woody sweets.
Mouthfeel thin.
Sour is just not my thing, but I can see why this is a great beer.

THE supreme sour beer, not too sweet. not too sour. Not as complex as when the bottles were wrapped in paper but still good nonetheless.

Decent brew, but sourness feels bit dull. Nice berries, fruity, bit oak, light malty, spices. Too sharp sourness and acidic. Drinkable, worth to try, but not second time

pours a chestnut colored brown with hints and highlights of ruby. When poured vigorously, a nice 1’’ head was produced. A dense foamy head that fades quickly. The aroma is that of tart and cidery with hints of church pews. Tastes tart and cidery. Hints of a good wine too. A touch of oak barrels. Light lactic tartness is refreshing. Some fruity tones are evident. A refreshing, thirst quenching beer.
