COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

From bottle at restaurant, this goes fantastically well with food, I had a Dutch cheese board, which was a brilliant combination with this beer,

330ml bottle at Corner Bar, Beijing. Pours hazy red brown with a thin off white head. Aroma of cherries and vinegar. Taste is sour but not so much. Surprisingly easily drinkable compared to the ordinary version. May need to have one to compare!

330 ml bottle. Pours a hazy, deep reddish brown with a thin, fully diminishing, beige head. Sour aroma of vinegar, fruit and wood. Sweet, acidic flavour of fruit and wood with a dry, tart, bitter finish. Medium body with a sticky, watery texture and flat carbonation. Reminds me of red wine. Nice.

Tap. Pours clear reddish amber with fine off-white head. Aroma is sweet and malty, caramel, red fruits and vinegar. Think this is all fresh. Slight cherry. Taste is sweet, dry cherries, caramel, malty. Really fruity. Tart and sour vinegar finish. Has vanilla oak too. Quite full body for style and creamy carbonation.

Pours deep mahogany colour with a quick fading, noisy head. Good lacing. A lot of cherries in the aroma supported by some wood notes, other red fruits, a hint of caramel and of course the characteristic sour note - great bouquet, dangerously close to wine. The taste simply shares the same notes with the exception of wood, the beer is sour but not in an exagerated. And then a touch of cherry in the aftertaste reminds you what are you drinking. Great, subtle and complex beer.

Bomber. Clear reddish brown with a frothy, beige head that lasts and laces. Aromas of green apple, wood, light grape, cherries, berries, and caramel. Flavor is the same with the wood played down a lot. Medium bodied, smooth with a dry end.

On tap at Erzbierschof Züri. Pours dark brown with a dense head. Dusty aroma, but not in a bad way. Prominent sourness, but not dominating. Crisp and rather dry.
