COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Wow. Very dark red in colour, fluffy off white head. Aroma of balsamic vinegar, very fruity, cream and cherries. Flavour is extremely smooth, creamy, with acidic/tart cherries. Finish is acidic with a mild bitterness. This is just simply a wonderful beer and now one of my favorites.

Cloudy but somewhat translucent red-brown w/ some sediment. Small, delicate, frothy beige head. Fruity, sour aroma of cherry & grape w/ a charming vinous/oak character & notes of carmel & vanilla. Light, slightly creamy feel. Clean, fruity flavour w/ a sharp, tannic acidity & lovely notes of caramel, toffee, vanilla & oak.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2012 Pours dark mahogany with ruby tones and small tan fizz. Smells sour with hints of oak. Taste is sour with some subtle sweetness. Medium-bodied with a prickly, acidic texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Rodenbach Grand Cru finishes with pleasant sourness.

Underwhelming at first, needs to warm up. Wood, vinegar, cherry on the nose, vinegar and dark current flavour, wood, vinegar, vinous finish.

Indonesia often has only one condiment at soup restaurants: vinegar. I pour it in like a fiend, I’ve got odd tastes that way. I guess this is why I find this beer absolutely stellar... bought another six today. A classic, as elegant as a good wine, at 1/10 the price. Hope it doesn’t become better known because I’m cheap.

Really really good. Clean and oaky. It opens up with a little funk on the palate. Great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Red brown in color, malty aroma mixed with some lacto an acetobacter, the same in taste. A very complex beer, but very refreshing. Lovely beer, have to taste more of Rodenbach
